8 Top Honeymoon Destinations

There are SO many things to think about when planning a wedding. What dress are you going to choose? What flavour is the cake going to be? How are you going to break it to your cousin Joe that he isn’t invited due to his shenanigans at your aunty’s cousin’s christening?

Things can get stressful. Your wedding is supposed to be the best day of your life and venues such as ourselves will always try our very best to ensure your day goes perfect.

But what about the honeymoon? THIS is your chance to finally relax with your new hubby or wife and let all of your cares just drift away into a nice cocktail or ten.

We have listed 8 of the most AMAZING locations to visit:

The Maldives is undoubtedly known as one of the most beautiful places in the world so it’s no shock that its incredibly popular with newlyweds!

Home to crystal white beaches and some of the most luxurious hotels and stunning over-water villas, The Maldives is quite simply paradise on earth.

Top things to do here include snorkling, boat trips and romantic meals on the beach with your very own butler. You’ll not find any crazy nightclubs here.

If you and your spouse love peace, quiet and tranquillity, this is probably the place for you.

Whether you and your spouse love to party hard or you both prefer the quiet life, Thailand can cater to your needs.

One thing is for sure, you’ll never be short of things to do and see here.

Full of cultural richness, Thailand is very popular with honeymooners.

Bora Bora

I had to put Bora Bora in this article as although it will take you literally about 2 days to get here from the UK, it is quite simply one of the most stunning places on the planet.

It is located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, Northwest of New Zealand accessible by 50-minute flight on a propeller plane (eeeeeeek), but once your there you can enjoy some of the most stunning beaches on the entire planet.

A tropical climate means the weather is beautiful all year round but if you visit between November and April, you could save quite a bit of money.

Jamaaaaican me crazy!

How could we NOT put one of the Caribbean Islands in here! We have chosen to incluse Jamaica as this place has so much character.

Jamaica is not only beautiful but its also BIG and you will be spoilt for choice with things to do. The locals are also super lovely!

Climb Dunns River Falls where Sean Connery filmed scenes in Dr. No, go horse-riding along the shores or go snorkelling amongst puffer fish, there are so many amazing things to do and see on this fantastic island.

Did you know that Bali is called the Land Of The Gods? With a name like that it must be pretty cool.

Bali tends to be the place you see those Instagram influencers hanging out these days and you can’t blame them, it’s gorgeous!

Spas are everywhere in Bali meaning that if sunbathing on the beach hasn’t chilled you out enough, you can get utterly pampered with a full body massage. You can even get one on the beach. Take me there now….

Venice, Italy

You don’t have to travel half way around the world to visit incredible places. True, Venice doesn’t have the beaches of Bora Bora but it’s a totally different experience and is amazing in it’s own right.

Built on 118 islands in a lagoon, Venice is a city on water full of stunning architecture and other hidden gems.

Travel through Venice on a gondola ride and drink rich red wine watching the sun set over Saint Mark’s Basilica cathedral.

Marbella, Spain

Marbella has one of Southern Spain’s best shopping scenes and is a hot spot for the rich and famous. If you stay here, don’t be surprised if you see a few superyachts out at sea as that’s where a lot of the celebs tend to stay for more privacy!

If you love partying and culture but you don’t want to travel for hours on end by plane, this is the place to be.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go and turn the heating up because it’s freezing here in the UK.
